Dream Car Giveaways’ Range Rover Sport draw closes at 10pm tonight, Wednesday 9 September. It was our competition of the week in Monday’s rankings and nothing has changed since.
The numbers: tickets are 5p. The winner gets the car plus £3,000 in cash, or £55,000 plus the £3,000 if they’d rather have the money, so £58,000 in the bank. £10 buys 200 tickets, which works out at roughly 1 in 10,000. About a quarter of the tickets had sold when we checked on Monday morning.
Why it topped the table: we rank every draw closing in a given week on how much of the sold-out pot comes back to the winner. This one returns more than anything else closing this week, and it isn’t close. Cheap ticket, big cash alternative, sensible pot.
Two other draws from Monday’s list also close tonight. Elite’s £77,000 cash draw at 3p a ticket is the biggest cash prize of the week, though at seven million tickets the odds are long. Dream Car’s £5,000 cash draw at 4p is the best odds we found this week, about 1 in 900 for a tenner, and closes at 10pm.
